Heinz Weber was appointed as European President of Gordon Brothers in June 2015 and oversees and facilitates the growth of the individual business services for Europe.
Heinz is experienced in the Banking and Restructuring industry. He started his career in commercial banking in Germany, before moving into restructuring at Ernst & Young, and later PricewaterhouseCoopers in the United Kingdom. In 2003 Heinz was appointed Country Manager Germany at Lloyds TSB Commercial Finance.
Heinz joined Landsbanki Islands in 2006 as Head of German Operations, which evolved into the position of the Branch Manager of Landsbanki Islands hf, Frankfurt branch in 2007. Heinz was responsible for the setup of operations and commercial development of the business.
With the demise of Landsbanki in October 2008, he worked out the loan portfolio of Landsbanki Commercial Finance. During the same period, Heinz held various positions as Senior Advisor with businesses, banks and financial sponsors.
Heinz joined Gordon Brothers in May 2013 as Managing Director, Head of D-A-CH, based in Cologne, where he assisted on many transactions and established and managed the company’s growth in continental Europe, including the opening of the German office in Cologne and the formation of the German team.
He studied Business Administration at the European Business School, Oestrich-Winkel and has earned an MBA degree from IESE, Barcelona. He speaks German, English, Spanish and French.
